About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Production & Inventory Associate to build and assemble our products and to support the daily administrative and operational functions of our warehouse. The ideal candidate pairs mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools with strong record-keeping discipline, ensuring that finished assemblies, shipments, inventory data, and documentation remain accurate, timely, and compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products, kits, and displays to specification, working from work instructions, assembly drawings, and bills of materials, and meeting daily build and quality targets.
  • Operate common hand and power tools (drills, drivers, wrenches, torque tools) safely and accurately during assembly, rework, and repair tasks.
  • Inspect finished assemblies for fit, function, and quality, correcting defects and escalating recurring issues.
  • Perform basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, conveyors, carts, packaging equipment), escalating major repairs to maintenance or vendors.
  • Document assembly output, parts consumption, and equipment maintenance activity, keeping records aligned with inventory and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS), reconciling physical counts with system data and investigating discrepancies.
  • Process inbound and outbound shipments, including generating packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels, and verifying order accuracy.
  • Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to schedule deliveries, pickups, and returns.
  • Prepare and file warehouse documentation such as receiving reports, inventory logs, and compliance records.
  • Generate routine reports on stock levels, order status, and operational metrics for the Operations Manager.
  • Support cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits.
  • Monitor stock levels and flag reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Assist in onboarding documentation and timekeeping for warehouse staff as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and inventory-control procedures across all administrative processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on assembly, production, or light manufacturing experience, including safe and accurate use of hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read work instructions, assembly drawings, and bills of materials, and to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
  • 2–3 years of administrative or clerical experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation and basic inventory-control principles.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of OSHA warehouse safety standards.
  • Experience in a light manufacturing, kitting, or product-assembly environment.
  • Basic equipment-maintenance or mechanical-repair training (e.g., preventive maintenance, lockout/tagout).
