About the Role
Cox & Company solves the aerospace industry's most challenging ice protection and temperature control problems. We are looking for a skilled Engineering Technician to modify, repair, and improve existing electronic products, equipment, and controls.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and test electronic components based on verbal or written instructions, diagrams, and specifications.
- Record data with a high level of accuracy for each product.
- Document defects in new products and complete RMA teardown reports for field returns.
- Conduct Environmental Stress Screening using Vibration and Thermal Chambers.
- Scan and fill out travelers for each job performed accurately.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to distinguish various colors of wires and recognize sections of electronic systems and wiring.
- This position involves exposure to projects and contracts subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment in this role. Applicants must meet these requirements to be considered.
Skills
- In-depth understanding of electronics principles and design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to follow complex directions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English.
Education Level
- Associate degree in Electronics required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Electronic Technician certification or equivalent certification/licensure required.
