About the Role

The Director of Gender-Based Violence & Trauma Services provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for services addressing gender-based violence and trauma. This role oversees counseling, care coordination, case management, safety planning, and trauma-informed individual and group services programming, ensuring services are survivor-centered, culturally responsive, and grounded in safety, empowerment, confidentiality, and client choice.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for services addressing gender-based violence and trauma.
Oversee counseling, care coordination, case management, safety planning, and trauma-informed individual and group services programming.
Support the development and implementation of program strategy, goals, and service delivery.
Oversee comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment planning, safety planning, and short-term trauma-informed counseling and educational services.
Ensure services are survivor-centered, culturally responsive, and grounded in safety, empowerment, confidentiality, and client choice.
Ensure consistent clinical practices, quality service delivery, documentation, staff support, and coordination across locations.
Promote a trauma-informed, gender-based violence-informed, and survivor-centered approach.
Work closely with VP of Prevention and Intervention in the development and articulation of program strategy, vision and goals.
Provide supervision and management to staff, including individual supervision, coaching, and collaboration with HR.
Facilitate DV-focused prevention counseling and case management weekly team meetings.
Participate in Incident Report Committee meetings and provide clinical and programmatic feedback.
Provide clinical support by conducting initial comprehensive intake screening, psychosocial, safety planning, risk assessments and administering trauma-informed screening tools.
Provide strengths-based, trauma-informed individual and group supportive counseling sessions.
Oversee treatment planning and treatment plan execution.
Monitor trends in program performance, including client engagement, chart documentation, and referral management.
Develop action plans to ensure performance goals are met.
Conduct quality assurance reviews of Gender-Based Violence programming.
Develop, review, complete, and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Track and Monitor DV data and complete internal and external reports.
Implement and monitor conferences to foster communication between program staff and partner agencies.
Develop professional development plans for Direct reports.
Direct and monitor training plans for DV Counselor staff.
Attend/facilitate department meetings, trainings, and contractor-facilitated provider meetings.
Perform all functions in alignment with CHASI’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

Requirements

LMSW, LMHC, or related degree/licensure required.
LCSW preferred.
At least 4 years of experience providing mental health and/or Trauma counseling services to survivors of Gender based Violence required.
At least 2 years of experience supervising staff and/or managing programs.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency preferred.
Effective oral & written communication skills.
Strong organizational & problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
Previous experience in trauma informed care & case management is strongly preferred.
Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary, diverse team, maintaining a healthy work environment that encourages equity, professionalism, respect, diversity, and continuous professional growth and improvement.
Ability to assume leadership roles.
