About the Role
The Director of Sales will play a key role in expanding Stonefire’s brand presence across targeted channels and markets. This position is responsible for driving sales growth, building strategic relationships, and creating opportunities for market penetration. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in sales, business development, and account management, who can identify new business opportunities and foster existing partnerships to support Stonefire’s growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Stonefire’s business goals, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring Stonefire’s brand is effectively represented.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Stonefire’s market reach, driving revenue growth in existing and new channels.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer insights to adjust sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to design and execute promotional programs that maximize brand visibility and sales.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, tracking KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate progress against goals and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Partner with marketing, operations, and product development to ensure alignment across teams, promoting cohesive efforts in launching new products and campaigns.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms that meet both Stonefire’s objectives and client needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the food industry or consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and managing key accounts, with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in analyzing sales data and market trends, with the ability to derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% in the US and Canada to visit clients, attend industry events, and support business development initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset, able to work cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
