About the Role
Rogers Affaires is seeking Point of Sale Solutions Growth Specialists to accelerate adoption across Canada. The role involves converting inbound leads, generating opportunities through proactive field activities, and supporting the direct sales team as trusted payment experts for qualified opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Convert inbound sales leads.
- Promptly and professionally handle assigned digital and marketing-generated opportunities.
- Progress to the discovery stage to understand merchant business, current payment environment, operational needs, and growth objectives.
- Recommend an appropriate Rogers POS solution and advance eligible opportunities through sales cycle stages.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely opportunity records with clear next steps.
- Support the direct sales team in customer discovery and qualification, solution presentations and demonstrations, statement reviews, and objection handling, while maintaining clear documentation of ownership, handoffs, and next steps.
- Participate in conversations with qualified customers as a payments expert while reinforcing the direct sales team's ownership of the relationship.
- Assist sales representatives in identifying Rogers POS solution sales opportunities within conversations with new and existing customers.
- Provide clear direction on offerings, next steps, and ownership at each stage of a supported opportunity.
- Explain payment processing, merchant acquiring, pricing considerations, and POS capabilities in clear business language.
- Evaluate competitive scenarios and assist customers in assessing the operational and business value of switching providers.
- Set accurate expectations regarding applications, compliance, credit review, order submission, installation, and activation.
- Stay current on payment trends, competitor offerings, and relevant merchant needs.
- Provide support during office hours, deal workshops, demonstrations, and short coaching sessions to the SMB sales team.
- Communicate durable selling points, success stories, competitive insights, and lessons learned from the field.
- Provide feedback to leadership and cross-functional partners on recurring customer, process, and product roadblocks.
Requirements
- Experience selling payment processing solutions, merchant services, fintech, or POS solutions.
- Demonstrated consultative selling and opportunity management skills.
- Experience engaging business owners and decision-makers.
- Ability to explain payment concepts, pricing, and operational value in clear customer language.
- Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
- Collaborative work style and ability to function within a supported sales model.
- High degree of self-discipline, organization, and reliability in managing customer relationships.
- Experience reviewing merchant statements or supporting the switch from competitive payment service providers.
- Experience selling to restaurants, retailers, hospitality, professional services, or health and wellness merchants.
