About the Role
Support merchandising and design teams in the Digital Product Creation program, focusing on line planning and design to bridge the gap between physical garments and digital tools. Lead the suite of tools and capabilities end-to-end, defining vision and translating it into digital capabilities for product creation teams.
Responsibilities
- Define and promote a vision for the future of Line planning and Design.
- Lead the product strategy to rewire how we work from line plan to sketching, and how both connect to merch, PD, and downstream systems.
- Motivate and inspire partners, other PMs, and the technical team around the vision.
- Manage a suite of tools and capabilities that support Global Merch and Design end to end.
- Translate the vision into use cases, requirements, and user stories.
- Manage the full spectrum of product development, using prototypes and MVPs to test assumptions and refine direction.
- Collect and summarize data to be data informed and lead with recommendations.
- Use experimentation to define hypotheses, run tests, and learn what works and does not work.
- Document current-state processes, identify opportunities for rewiring, and guide process change and adoption.
- Establish OKRs and analytics strategy to shape insights.
- Monitor success of goals on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
- Manage a dynamic product backlog – prioritize new ideas, enhancement requests, competitive analysis, and engagement data.
- Collaborate with 3rd party vendors, communicating product updates and influencing their roadmap.
- Make tradeoffs between out-of-the-box functionality and customization.
- Support product releases and lead rollout and adoption with business operations teams.
- Conduct competitive analysis and stay informed on industry trends and evolving technologies.
- Contribute to the product organization by sharing better ways of working and mentoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in product management, math, statistics, engineering, computer science or other quantitative fields.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with preference for experience in both new build and 3rd party vendor platforms.
- Comfortable from discovery through adoption.
- Reputation for clear documentation of user journeys, epics and requirements.
- Experience using data and insights to inform product development.
- Ability to summarize insights and lead with a clear recommendation.
- Track record in product discovery and rallying teams.
- Curious about the industry and the craft, following other retailers and evolving technologies.
- Ability to promote collaboration and new ideas across geographical and cultural boundaries.
- Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to a variety of audiences at all levels, across multiple departments.
