About the Role
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the U.S. Electrophysiology Professional Education portfolio, encompassing all customer education programs. Ensure the successful design, implementation, and continuous improvement of educational programs and events that strengthen KOL partnerships, enhance customer experience, support clinical best practices, and reinforce Abbott's leadership in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, planning, management, and execution of customer-focused Professional Education programs for Abbott's U.S. Electrophysiology business.
- Develop and execute innovative physician and customer education strategies that differentiate Abbott's EP portfolio and support business growth, customer engagement, and technology adoption.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with electrophysiologists, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and professional societies to drive educational program development, faculty engagement, and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Clinical, and Commercial leadership to assess customer educational needs and align educational initiatives with business objectives and market opportunities.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the customer education portfolio, ensuring programs deliver measurable educational value, customer impact, and commercial results.
- Lead a team and oversee the design, development, and continuous improvement of customer educational curricula, learning pathways, and training experiences focused on Abbott products, clinical evidence, and emerging procedural solutions.
- Develop and monitor program metrics, outcomes, and feedback mechanisms to evaluate effectiveness, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze customer and faculty feedback, market trends, and business needs to identify opportunities for program enhancements and new educational offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners for successful planning and execution of education programs, ensuring alignment, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Manage faculty engagement processes, including speaker identification, contracting, program preparation, and ongoing relationship management.
- Oversee annual program planning, project timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and vendor management to ensure efficient and compliant program execution.
- Direct all aspects of meeting and event logistics, including participant registration, invitations, travel arrangements, accommodations, venue coordination, educational materials, and on-site program support.
- Ensure appropriate educational technologies, equipment, and resources are available and effectively utilized to support customer learning objectives.
- Organize and facilitate program planning meetings with internal stakeholders, faculty, vendors, and agency partners.
- Partner with internal teams to develop educational materials, communications, promotional resources, and customer-facing program content.
- Ensure all programs, documentation, contracts, and vendor activities comply with Abbott Corporate, Divisional, Legal, Regulatory, and Healthcare Compliance policies.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, participant records, budget tracking, and reporting to support business reviews, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a customer education subject matter expert and trusted advisor, providing recommendations to leadership regarding education strategy, process improvements, and future investment opportunities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement while mentoring team members and influencing stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of work experience in Electrophysiology, field clinical/sales experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Abbott Electrophysiology Products.
- Experience in an EP lab setting.
- Ability to manage/report on a specified budget.
- Strong planning, organizational, presentation, and social skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team as needed.
- Ability to travel: 30-40%.

- $99,300.00 – $198,700.00
