About the Role
Responsible for all construction-related vehicle movements and material deliveries within the project site. Oversee truck access, verifies manifests against delivered materials, inspector approval, coordinates delivery schedules, maintains driver records, and ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the project.
Responsibilities
- Manage all truck and material deliveries entering and leaving the project site.
- Verify shipping documents, manifests, bills of lading, and delivery tickets against received materials.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Direct truck routing, staging, unloading locations, and site traffic flow.
- Track driver information, vehicle identification, and site access requirements.
- Maintain delivery logs and material tracking reports.
- Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and site logistics plans.
- Resolve delivery conflicts, material shortages, and scheduling issues.
- Interface with security personnel and other construction professionals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience managing site logistics, including scheduling truck arrivals and departures, monitoring material deliveries and minimizing disruptions to project operations preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience working with trucking companies, vendors, and subcontractors preferred.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong communication skills with drivers, vendors, field staff, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple deliveries simultaneously.
- Experience on civil infrastructure construction projects.
- Experience managing 15+ truck movements per day.
