About the Role
State Street is seeking a Managing Director, Data Platform Enablement to lead the enterprise strategy, adoption, and value realization of its data platform ecosystem. This executive will define the multi-year platform vision, lead a global enablement organization, and partner with senior leaders to accelerate data-driven transformation, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of Data Platform Enablement strategies, driving adoption, deployment, and measurable business outcomes.
- Execute and operationalize the enterprise Data Platform Enablement strategy, translating platform capabilities into scalable business solutions.
- Lead a global Data Platform Enablement and Field Deployment Engineering organization to deploy platform capabilities and accelerate use case delivery.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing investment decisions and platform priorities.
- Drive adoption and reuse of enterprise data products and reusable data assets.
- Champion developer, analyst, and business-user enablement through onboarding and best practices.
- Identify platform adoption barriers and usability challenges, partnering with relevant teams to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience leading large-scale platform modernization and cloud transformation programs with expertise in data platforms and data engineering.
- Skill in driving adoption of data products and behavioral change at scale in large complex organizations.
- Collaborative leader with strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Pragmatic problem solving and effective decision-making based on sound judgement.
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale data and/or platform transformations and complex integrations.
- Strong technical background in data platform technology, data engineering, cloud and distributed systems.
- Proven ability to collaborate, influence and execute effectively with business stakeholders.
- Ability to translate platform capabilities into business outcomes and value.
- Experience in global financial services or complex enterprise environments.
- Experience leading global teams across multiple regions.
- Managing strategic vendor and partner relationships.
