About the Role

The Senior Consultant in Revenue Cycle and Financial Operations advises organizations on strategies to optimize financial performance and operating effectiveness. This role supports client engagements from assessment through implementation, partners with client executives, and delivers measurable outcomes related to cost optimization, revenue enhancement, technology implementation, and financial operations. The Senior Consultant is accountable for developing workplans, team performance, ensuring deliverable quality, and contributing to practice growth.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end assessments of Revenue Cycle and Financial Operations.
Synthesize financial, operational, and clinical data to diagnose root causes and quantify value.
Design transformation roadmaps and lead implementation of process, policy, and governance changes.
Serve as a primary advisor to client executives, developing and delivering executive-ready narratives and recommendations.
Drive engagement delivery by defining scope, building workplans, overseeing budgets, and ensuring quality outcomes.
Train junior resources through coaching, skill development, and performance feedback.
Establish KPI frameworks and governance routines to monitor performance and sustain improvements.
Partner with technology and digital teams to optimize revenue cycle and financial operations systems.
Contribute to practice development through thought leadership, proposal support, and relationship building.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of relevant experience
Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide sponsorship.
Proven knowledge of revenue cycle or financial operations functional areas, performance metrics, and enabling technologies.
Proven track record supporting complex projects, achieving measurable outcomes, and sustaining results.
Experience with major EHR/RCM platforms (Epic, Oracle/Cerner, Meditech, Athena, NextGen, etc.) and partnering with technology teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking skills.
Excellent executive communication and facilitation skills.
Experience with relational database tools and data analysis (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Access, etc.) and/or BI/reporting tools.
