About the Role
This position supports OMA elected physician leaders with planning, organizational, and governance support, acting as the primary liaison between leaders, members, external stakeholders, and the OMA. The role aims to improve communication, service, and needs fulfillment for elected physician leaders.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and responsive support to groups of physician leaders and other Executives.
- Liaise with physician members, external stakeholders, and OMA staff.
- Coordinate initiative implementation and ensure service model enhancements are incorporated into daily activities.
- Review and propose improvements to internal processes and administrative operations.
- Identify issues, track concerns, and manage issue resolution.
- Provide planning, organizational, and administrative support for meetings.
- Coordinate implementation of physician leader orientation and mentorship initiatives.
- Review policies and identify potential issues/trends impacting physicians.
- Provide planning, organizational, and administrative support to Constituency Groups during the OMA’s Single Election Period.
- Contribute to the development of resources and communications for physician members and external stakeholders.
- Review and monitor constituency budget expenditures, allocations, and adherence.
Requirements
- College degree in health or business administration.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience building and sustaining relationships with stakeholders across the health care sector.
- Experience in initiative implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Ability to work independently to deliver exceptional support to OMA physician members.
- Background checks and reference checks are conducted as a condition of employment.
