About the Role

The Real Estate Development Fellow will provide critical capacity to the team during the first year of WSFSSH’s new strategic plan by supporting the advancement of Housing objectives related to resident-centered design, community engagement, aging-in-place, and ensuring equity across our housing portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Research inclusive design principles that support aging in place, including trauma-informed design and other approaches that extend beyond baseline accessibility requirements.
  • Review existing conditions, operational challenges, and resident demographics across WSFSSH’s SRO portfolio.
  • Solicit and incorporate feedback from residents, staff, and community stakeholders into the design and renovation of WSFSSH properties.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders such as property management, social services, architects, engineers, government agencies, etc.
  • Support the Real Estate Development team by taking meeting minutes, compiling due diligence, assisting with funding applications, and performing other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Completion of at least one semester in a Master’s degree program in city planning, public policy, public administration, urban policy, or related discipline by September 2026.
  • Continued enrollment in the Master’s degree program through the end of the 2027 spring semester.
