About the Role

As a dependable clinician, you will provide Occupational Therapy services, comfortably and competently assuming new caseloads. You will be an active member of an interdisciplinary team, responsible for providing Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to patients, adhering to College guidelines and Essential Competencies for clients with deficits in occupational performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to patients.
• Provide Occupational Therapy services in keeping with College guidelines and Essential Competencies, for clients with deficits in areas of occupational performance.
• Participate in Professional Practice meetings as required.
• Supervise support personnel, students and volunteers as appropriate.
• Participate in program planning, continuous quality improvement and evaluation.
• Provide clinical teaching, mentoring and/or supervision for OT students.
• Engage with inter-professional education experiences with students of all health disciplines.

Requirements

• Registered to practice with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
• Relevant experience in assessing and treating post-acute patients, with a focus on Orthopaedic care in an in-patient setting.
• Ability to work on a dynamic, interprofessional team including families and community partners, using effective communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to be self-directed in a fast-paced, flexible working environment.
• Previous experience and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with Occupational Therapist Assistants.
• MoCA training certification, or willingness to obtain within 1 month of hire.
