About the Role

Join Apple's Silicon Engineering Group (SEG) to drive the architecture and RTL development of next-generation CPUs. SEG designs high-performance, low-power microprocessors powering innovative products like iPhone, iPad, Watch, Vision Pro, and Mac.

Responsibilities

  • Own or participate in microarchitecture development and specification, from early architectural exploration to detailed specification.
  • Develop, assess, and refine RTL features to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals.
  • Support test bench development and simulation for functional and performance verification.
  • Explore high-performance strategies and validate that the RTL design meets targeted performance.
  • Work with a multi-functional engineering team to implement and validate physical design aspects including timing, area, reliability, testability, and power.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS and 20+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with microprocessor architecture.
  • Experience with Verilog or VHDL.
