About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Creative Director to lead a team of designers, copywriters, and video editors in producing original creative content. This role involves a player-coach approach, where you will create best-in-class creative while mentoring the team. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to produce high-volume, performance-driven content and drive improvements. A key aspect of this role is leveraging AI tools to enhance ideation and production while maintaining quality and brand integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective creative direction and feedback across design, copywriting, and video editing to ensure cohesive output.
- Concept original creative ideas and campaigns, incorporating cultural and social trends.
- Partner cross-functionally with Channel Managers, Creative Strategists, and brand teams to refine briefs and ensure DR creative aligns with brand voice and KPIs.
- Collaborate with external agency and freelance partners, providing clear briefs and timely feedback.
- Guide creative approach across performance channels including paid social, organic/owned, CTV, and print.
- Set a quality bar focused on brand consistency and performance, enabling the team to determine when creative is ready for delivery.
- Champion AI-assisted workflows, identifying opportunities for generative AI in ideation, scripting, storyboarding, editing, and asset variation, and coaching the team on effective tool usage.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years in performance creative, with experience leading or managing creative teams.
- Strong concepting and ideation skills, with a proven ability to originate creative territories.
- Working knowledge of short-form video editing and copywriting fundamentals to provide credible feedback.
- Deep understanding of cultural and social trends and their translation into performance creative.
- Experience balancing brand guidelines with performance requirements and collaborating with brand/marketing teams.
- Experience managing or directing external agency, freelance, or vendor creative partners.
- Experience across print, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Mobile, and Google.
- Experience directing or participating in lightweight, fast-turn UGC-style production shoots (a plus).
- Hands-on comfort prompting and directing AI tools for ideation and production (a strong plus).
