About the Role

As an Interior Designer at DLR Group, you will be part of integrated design teams responsible for the design and delivery processes aligned with client goals, budgets, and schedule parameters. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including K-12 Education, Workplace, Healthcare, Justice + Civic, and Mixed-Use. Join our team and play a key role in designing complex projects from schematic design to construction administration. You'll develop comprehensive material and finish palettes, and collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members to prepare detailed specifications.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate strong conceptual design, program development, and space planning expertise.
Possess comprehensive design and technical skillsets including creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design presentation skills, conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability.
Apply holistic design acumen addressing functionality, programmatic needs, and the performance of space.
Apply DLR Group practice standards to project deliverables across the project team.
Lead collaboration by generating design ideas and solutions.
Communicate effectively with project team members through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.
Prepare drawings, models, images, material & mood boards, and other design-related documents.
Take responsibility for design development and project progression with input from leadership.
Exhibit strong client and time management skills.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Meet deliverable deadlines to maintain overall project schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
5 - 8 years of professional interior design experience
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office suite and Designer Pages Pro.
Experience with 3D Visualizing Software: Enscape, Sketch Up, and Lumion Render.
Knowledge of Bluebeam.
Ability to work independently and effectively in cross-disciplinary teams and across multiple offices.
Ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
Submit current portfolio/work samples in PDF format.
