About the Role

The Product Owner serves as the main link between business units and IT, ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives. This role involves understanding business needs, translating them into IT solutions, and managing projects throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision and strategy, including roadmaps and business process improvements.
• Build partnerships with the business to understand strategic plans and operational needs.
• Facilitate early-stage project scoping, defining business objectives, requirements, and cost/benefit considerations.
• Manage projects, create project plans, and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Act as the primary liaison between customers, stakeholders, and the development team.
• Prioritize product initiative items (user stories) based on business value and strategy.
• Clarify and specify business requirements with stakeholders.
• Track and communicate project progress, risks, and impacts.
• Collaborate to define and document business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Define functional and business rules, challenging assumptions and business processes.
• Support the development team in understanding project deliverables.
• Facilitate Scrum meetings, including daily standups and sprint planning.
• Review completed features to ensure business requirements are met.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT).

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written business communications.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of business understanding and urgency.
• Experience in support and operating in Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Stakeholder management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in defining product vision and managing product roadmaps.
• Successful track record of delivering high-value IT products to the business.
• Experience serving as a subject matter expert for applications.
• Experience in leading and managing projects until completion.
