About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator supports the timely movement of medications, packages, supplies, and delivery information by coordinating routes, communication, documentation, and logistics follow-up. The role is accountable for accurate, timely, dependable execution within established procedures and for escalating issues that fall outside assigned authority.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate or support delivery routing, dispatch, package movement, pickup, returns, and other logistics activity.
- Communicate with drivers, pharmacy teams, facilities, and internal partners regarding delivery status, changes, or issues.
- Maintain accurate routing, delivery, package, and exception documentation in applicable systems.
- Respond to delays, missed deliveries, urgent needs, or other logistics exceptions and escalate appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation and protect confidential patient, team-member, customer, or business information.
- Manage assigned workload, deadlines, and follow-up responsibilities through completion.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, technical training, certification, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the assigned work and ability to independently complete recurring responsibilities.
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills with ability to coordinate time-sensitive logistics and maintain accurate records.
- Additional related experience and relevant technical, safety, or industry certification.
- Delivery, dispatch, route planning, pharmacy logistics, healthcare courier, transportation, or multi-site operations experience.
- Regularly lift or move up to 20 pounds.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Regularly required to communicate verbally and hear.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus, and the ability to distinguish differences in color, shade, and brightness.
