About the Role
PDG is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and grow your career with a well-established and dynamic firm.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform engineering evaluations, analyses, field inspections, design drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
- Lead mechanical engineering analyses for existing and new building mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, applying current codes, standards, and technologies to develop safe, efficient, and optimized designs.
- Manage the mechanical scope of projects from initial design through construction, ensuring quality, schedule, and client expectations are met.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineering staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support in their professional development.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of New York State Mechanical, Energy, and Plumbing Codes, as well as NFPA standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
