About the Role

PwC’s Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM) practice is a market-leading audit and assurance business. Within B&CM sits our Non-Financial Assurance (NFA) proposition, specializing in controls assurance. We are seeking experienced Managers to join our team in London to help clients strengthen governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational effectiveness. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, building trusted client relationships, and delivering high-quality assurance work in a collaborative, inclusive, and purpose-led environment.

Responsibilities

Lead assurance engagements across multiple workstreams, managing quality, delivery, risk, and stakeholder expectations.
Build trusted relationships with senior clients and provide practical insight on emerging industry challenges.
Coach and develop team members, creating an inclusive and high-performing team environment.
Use technology, data, and digital solutions to improve client delivery and operational efficiency.
Focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information.
Evaluate compliance with regulations, including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.
Focus on obtaining limited or reasonable assurance about whether sustainability reporting is free from material misstatement.
Assess the existence of gaps between disclosure and sustainability reporting frameworks.
Assess materiality analysis and reporting process.
Test data quality and controls.

Requirements

Must possess a Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience.
Experience in the banking, asset management, private equity, brokerage, payments, and e-money sectors, Assurance, or a related professional services environment.
Experience delivering assurance engagements under standards such as ISAE 3000, ISAE 3402, ISAE 3410, AAF 01/20, SOC1 or SOC2 or a desire to expand into this space.
Understanding of governance, risk, and control frameworks within the mentioned sectors.
Experience managing complex client engagements and competing priorities.
Experience coaching and developing teams.
Agile and passionate about learning something new in an evolving regulatory landscape.
