About the Role
The Physician Recruiter will execute all phases of physician recruitment, including candidate sourcing, marketing, screening, and offering.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for physician candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Facilitate on-site interviews, travel arrangements, and assist with position offers and contract negotiations.
- Complete group practice profiles to support recruitment activities.
- Utilize recruitment tools and technologies to attract, screen, and source candidates.
- Review and assess candidates' qualifications and present them to the hiring team.
- Perform reference and background checks.
- Schedule interviews and provide information about the local area.
- Communicate hiring decisions and prepare/extend contracts.
- Process candidate expense reimbursements and assist with relocation.
- Maintain knowledge of community services and connect with community leaders.
- Develop relationships with local Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant programs.
- Attend national meetings for various specialties to recruit providers.
- Collaborate with the Provider Onboarding and Retention Specialist for a smooth transition.
- Perform exit interviews and communicate findings to the Executive Leadership Team.
- Meet with NP/PA students to present career opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date records of recruitment efforts and provide updates to Senior Leadership.
- Communicate locums needs and contract with local agencies.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to represent MVHS professionally in all interactions.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use sound judgement and discretion.
- Time management skills.
- Experience with databases, internet-based tools and social media.
- Successful candidates might be required to undergo a background verification with an external vendor.
