About the Role

Restaurant Associates, a leader in dining and event catering, is seeking a Senior Cook to prepare nutritious and flavorful food in accordance with company and regulatory standards. This role may involve overseeing other food service associates and ensuring food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned.
• Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after each use, performing scheduled routine cleaning.
• Store, label, and date food items according to policy.
• Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completing required documentation.
• Assist in the cross-training of employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous culinary or cooking experience or a valid culinary degree is required.
• Abides by all Company policies and procedures including safety guidelines for handling knives, hot pans, and lifting.
• Must wear slip-resistant shoes.
• Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
