About the Role

Fractal is seeking a Portfolio Test Manager accountable for developing strategy and managing the delivery of all aspects of end-to-end testing across a complex portfolio of platforms or major projects. This role ensures offshore testing partners meet contractual commitments, adhere to best practices, and align with stakeholder risk appetite through robust test strategies, plans, and summary reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end testing best practice advice and guidance to programme/project leads.
• Liaise with business stakeholders to ensure required resources are in place for UAT testing.
• Collaborate with Delivery leads to ensure offshore vendor testing capability and plans meet project time, cost, and quality standards.
• Maintain an understanding of industry testing trends and embed best practices in test strategies and plans.
• Support the Head of Testing Services to drive continuous improvement within the testing function.
• Manage the overall test strategy, planning, and coordination of all testing phases.
• Ensure testing delivery adheres to agreed baselined time, cost, and quality standards using waterfall and agile methods.
• Manage the relationship with the testing Vendor to fulfill all testing commitments and plans.
• Act as a testing SME and advise on appropriate testing strategies.
• Define Test Strategies, Plans, and Approaches in line with best practices.
• Ensure the offshore test team is adequately resourced for planning, specification, management, execution, and reporting.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on testing progress.
• Perform regular QA of Vendor output to ensure adherence to testing policy and practices.
• Manage test environment and data requirements in compliance with guidelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with third-party suppliers, managing immediate resource demands.
• Ensure Vendor can evidence traceability between requirements, test specification, and execution.
• Produce Test Summary Reports.
• Identify, own, and manage business risks in line with guidelines.
• Communicate test results and their consequences to senior stakeholders.
• Integrate and deliver all testing deliverables in line with baselined project plans.
• Effectively manage the Vendor, ensuring work assignment matches resource skills and organizational needs.
• Ensure Vendor adherence to policies and controls.
• Foster effective communication with the Vendor to maximize their value add.
• Ensure delivered systems meet functional specifications, including integration, usability, and accuracy.
• Verify systems meet volume and performance requirements, including soak, load, and bottleneck testing.

Requirements
