About the Role

The Inventory Stock Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring efficient product flow, and keeping a clean and organized store environment. This role is crucial for receiving and stocking freight, conducting cycle counts, managing inventory organization, and accurately pulling orders for various customers. The position requires strong technical knowledge of automotive parts and a commitment to customer satisfaction, also serving as a key resource for internal team members.

Responsibilities

Pulls all orders for wholesale customers, main counter retail/wholesale customers, and will-call, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely fulfillment.
Receives, posts, stocks, and organizes incoming merchandise, maintaining accurate shelving and product placement.
Conducts cycle counts to support ongoing inventory accuracy and record maintenance.
Performs general housekeeping, facility cleaning, and area-specific organization while adhering to safety rules.
Utilizes inventory systems for coordination, dispatching support, and fulfillment efficiency.
Assists customers via phone or in-person as needed, providing basic support or escalating appropriately.
Uses delivery management systems to coordinate and dispatch deliveries, pull orders, and support logistics.
Contributes to various store operations and team support tasks to optimize store performance.
Supports continuous improvement initiatives related to store processes and operational standards.

Requirements

At least 1 year of previous experience in stocking, loading, or pulling.
Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes.
Must be able to write legibly.
Must have basic understanding and capability to operate a computer terminal.
Must be capable of lifting and moving parts up to 60 pounds and push/pull 300 pounds using a hitch-and-go dolly.
Must be able to move engine blocks and other heavy equipment with appropriate moving aids.
Must be able to repeatedly bend or stoop to ground level shelves and reach upper shelves (8 feet) with the use of stool or ladder.
Must be able to work on their feet (stand or walk) for their assigned work shifts.
