About the Role
The Store Pro is the primary customer contact in the retail store, representing the NAPA brand and delivering a high-quality customer experience. This role provides automotive parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers, contributing to store performance through product knowledge, responsiveness, and customer engagement. It serves as an entry point or growth path within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate automotive parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers.
- Deliver a consistently positive and engaging customer experience.
- Utilize product knowledge to assist customers and support team members.
- Operate systems including POS, inventory/catalog tools, and communication devices.
- Maintain high energy and customer focus in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Support store operations including transactions, inquiries, and general workflow.
- Build relationships with customers to drive loyalty and repeat business.
- Utilize delivery management systems to coordinate and dispatch deliveries, pull and prepare orders for customers and drivers, and support efficient logistics and fulfillment operations.
- Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and organizational tasks to maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming store environment.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including receiving merchandise, stocking shelves, conducting cycle counts, and helping maintain accurate inventory records.
- Contribute to various store operations and team support tasks as needed to optimize store performance, merchandising, and overall efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to store processes and operational standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused mindset with strong listening and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to learn automotive parts and technology systems
- Experience in automotive, retail, or parts environment
- Hands-on experience with vehicle repair or maintenance
- Knowledge of inventory or cataloging systems
- Background in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, farm, marine, or dealership environments
- ASE Certification (not required)
