About the Role
Docs & Dogs Family Medicine is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for September 7-11, 2026. The role involves delivering comprehensive primary health care services in a supportive and collaborative outpatient clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
- Work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access.
- Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members.
Requirements
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

Salary/Compensations
- Guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200.
- Additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.
- Accommodations up to $300 per night.
- Travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500).
- Travel time up to 10 hours per week.
- Licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS).
