About the Role
The Enterprise Application Analyst will be responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, support, and development of the Firm’s Enterprise Systems, including financial systems and custom solutions requiring SQL expertise.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the on-going function of financial systems by participating in new projects, developing and maintaining existing systems, maintaining system security, and assisting in implementing upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to application systems, software performance, and functionality.
- Assist Finance & Accounting and Information Services Departments with executing all stages of enterprise application lifecycle including requirement gathering, design, programming, integration, and testing activities.
- Perform data analysis to facilitate and identify applications’ issues & bugs and resolve them.
- Develop documentation, training, and development of users regarding the firm’s financial systems and data.
- Create, review, and maintain method of procedure, build, system process, and all internal administration documents for the system of their responsibility.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for performance optimization of firm’s enterprise financial applications.
- Administer and monitor Financial Systems to ensure database integrity, system health, control, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Finance & Accounting and Information Services teams to analyze information technology needs and recommend solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.
Requirements
- University Degree in Accounting or Computer Science.
- Five years of experience with financial systems or equivalent enterprise applications and databases, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in the legal industry or professional services industry is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to enterprise financial applications’ maintenance and support with a professional services firm is required.
- Knowledge of accounting procedures, including budgeting concepts and finance and accounting principles.
- Troubleshooting skills to solve system problems and ability to link components within different enterprise systems.
- Experience with Aderant Expert and other financial systems in the legal space with advanced Excel and SSRS skills, or similar business reporting tools.
- Advanced knowledge and skill in database reporting and report writing tools.
- Advanced user-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL.
- Experience with working with multiple systems and points of integration.
- Experience with design and implementation of financial and other enterprise systems.
- PowerShell and scripting expertise to facilitate automation, monitoring, configuration, and custom solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with technical/non-technical users for knowledge transfer, troubleshooting, and requirements gathering.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Time management and organizational skills to effectively multi-task and prioritize among many demands.
- Project management experience including evaluating client requirement, time estimates, setting tasks, determining priorities, tracking progress toward completion.
- Maintains current knowledge of changes in relevant technology and databases.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Background and reference checks, including a criminal record check, credit check, and employment and educational verifications, are conditional for employment.
