About the Role
We are seeking a Paymaster / Payroll Manager to manage payroll accounting for approximately 250 employees, ensuring timely and accurate pay. This role involves recording variable payroll data, checking pay stubs, and liaising with the HR team and external auditors.
Responsibilities
- Recording variable payroll data (vacation, hours worked, sick days, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate pay for 250 employees.
- Checking pay stubs for accuracy.
- Forwarding payroll data to colleagues in Eschborn with the assistance of the HR team.
- Assisting with payroll or overtime inquiries and researching solutions.
- Ensuring knowledge of labor, income tax, and social security law, and staying updated on German laws and guidelines regarding payroll.
- Preparing payroll information for external auditors and consultants.
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
Requirements
- Completed training in the hotel/restaurant industry or a business administration program is possible, but not a prerequisite.
- Alternatively, a degree with a focus on payroll administration.
- Relevant professional experience in at least one similar position, ideally in the hospitality industry.
- Certified payroll or social security qualifications.
- Analytical thinking skills that remain unflappable under pressure.
- A warm, authentic, and outgoing personality.
- Engaging communication and presentation skills in German and English.
- Knowledge of an additional foreign language is a plus.
- Flexibility and an impressive commitment to quality.
- An organized and structured approach to work, with an eye for detail and a genuine interest in collaborating across departments.
