About the Role
As a Client Accountant, you will be the primary day-to-day contact for fund clients, managing fund accounting, client deliverables, investor transactions, and financial reporting. You will foster strong client relationships and ensure compliance with regulations and reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day relationships with designated fund clients, acting as the primary front-office contact.
- Maintain effective communication through regular engagement with CFOs, financial controllers, and other stakeholders.
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements, reports, and fund accounting activities for compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, fund legal documentation, and LPAs.
- Oversee and review investor drawdown and distribution calculations, ensuring accurate recording and processing of all investor and fund cash movements.
- Coordinate timelines, monitor progress, resolve issues, prioritize deadlines, and ensure high-quality, timely completion of all reporting requirements.
- Mentor and support team members.
- Contribute to process improvements and risk reduction initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong relationship-building, teamwork, decision-making, resilience, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a professional office environment, ideally within financial services or an accounting practice managing multiple client relationships.
- Strong accounting knowledge, with experience reviewing working paper files and financial statements, including disclosures, or equivalent expertise.
- Proven experience managing client relationships, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and resolving client issues professionally and timely.
- Ability to support and mentor less experienced team members.
- Intermediate Excel skills for data analysis and financial information management.
