About the Role

The Pharmacist is responsible for processing and filling prescriptions, ordering, receiving, and stocking shelves in the Pharmacy, and providing attentive and courteous customer service, all while adhering to the company's vision of being a friendly neighborhood store that saves customers time and money.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Pharmacy operations, safety, and sanitation.
• Process customer orders while providing attentive and courteous customer service.
• Perform the final check on all medications before dispensing to the customer.
• Receive telephone prescriptions and authorizations from prescriber’s offices.
• Consult with patients about prescribed medications and other health issues and recommend over-the-counter medications.
• Achieve financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, and minimization of shrink and supply expense.
• Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of prescriptions.
• Train and develop pharmacy interns and technicians.
• Complete all necessary paperwork relating to the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain security of all controlled substances.
• Maintain adequate supplies and place orders when needed.
• Process orders to include filling prescriptions and accepting payment.
• Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• State Licensed Pharmacist.

Skills

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Education Level

• State Licensed Pharmacist

Salary/Compensations

• $55 - $72/ Hour
