About the Role

This role drives strategy and execution in collaboration with commercial partners in Western Europe for a key regional online retailer. It focuses on building category relationships, developing shopper insights into actionable strategies, and supporting key customer processes to enhance the shopper journey and drive sustainable consumer sales impact.

Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful category relationships with top regional eCommerce customers based on a long-term, aligned 3-year category development vision.
  • Collaborate with Market Group eCommerce CX leaders on the CX agenda for major Global Customers (e.g., Amazon).
  • Develop bespoke customer category strategies to improve the shopper journey across local priority retail customers by translating shopper insight into action.
  • Participate in top eCommerce customer processes (Preview, ICP, JBP) to ensure category customer strategy alignment and integration into customer plans.
  • Support key customers with ongoing learning through experimentation, audience knowledge, category learning, and bespoke shopper research.
  • Drive regional expansion by prioritizing new business opportunities identified by Channel Growth leadership and equipping local CX & KAMs with insight and selling materials.
  • Act as a key member of regional channel and global CX networks, ensuring regional and local CX needs are surfaced in global forums.
  • Share outputs from the global CX forum with the regional CX team.
  • Execute audience and category projects (Space, Taxonomy, Expansion) with channel customer partners across the region.
  • Develop and communicate a clear category deployment vision for regional channels, implementing category drivers with retail partners to set a standard for channel excellence.
  • Support the adoption of global category and audience processes and cascade them to the CX team for customer planning.
  • Lead the test-and-learn channel and category agenda across the region, fostering an agile approach to experimentation, learning, and scaling.
  • Partner with global trade marketing to execute the global CX audience testing roadmap and regional CX customer channel and category initiatives.
  • Serve as the CX representative within the RCD team, connecting with other sub-teams on topics such as selling in.
  • Disseminate insight from the global insights team across the BU to equip teams with the latest shopper learning for strategy and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven record in commercial roles with a channel and category focus and strong business performance.
  • In-depth knowledge of the online retail and channel landscape in local markets for Amazon.
  • Experience in a large international organization, ideally with a regional or multi-market remit.
  • Expertise in sales processes and customer execution.
  • Strong commercial competence with the ability to form relationships and influence across levels of seniority.
  • Effective collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
  • Strategic, proactive, and pragmatic approach to identifying opportunities.
  • Strong analytical mentality with the ability to turn insights into actionable plans.
  • Ability to work 3 days from the contracted office and 2 days from home.
  • Strong business proficiency in English.
  • If located in Munich, German business proficiency is required.
