About the Role
The Dual Rate Security Supervisor role involves primary duties as a Security Officer/Officer II and secondary duties as a Security Supervisor, ensuring the protection of guests, team members, and company property while maintaining exceptional guest service. In the supervisory capacity, this role involves overseeing Security Ambassadors and Security Officers/Officer IIs, ensuring compliance, safety, and providing on-the-job direction.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of guests and team members on Seneca Gaming Corporation premises.
- Assist guests and team members and respond to critical situations, including medical emergencies and conflict resolution.
- Conduct continual observation and patrolling of all areas of Seneca Gaming Corporation properties.
- Work designated posts and complete all duties within company guidelines.
- Report any violations or situations detrimental to Seneca Gaming Corporation to the Security Supervisor.
- Ensure the integrity of slot, sportsbook, and table game areas.
- Perform Class III related duties such as asset transfers, Table Fills, and slot/jackpot escorts.
- Assist in internal or external investigations conducted by Seneca Gaming Corporation, SGA, or authorized local authorities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of departmental and company information.
- Provide exceptional guest service in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
- Complete required SGC Training programs within nine months of employment.
- Respond to, mitigate, and de-escalate incidents requiring Security intervention.
- Maintain a professional attitude that inspires subordinates and fosters a positive work environment.
- Develop, mentor, and train enrolled Seneca Nation members for future career paths.
- Approve and submit all activity, incident reports, logs, and reports generated by Security personnel.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment and assigned keys, ensuring key control policies are followed.
- Complete required post-accident/reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
- Act as Supervisor to regular security personnel, including assignment, scheduling, attendance tracking, and issuing disciplinary action.
- Maintain the chain of command, ensuring subordinates are informed and supervisors are updated on developments.
- Assist Security Ambassadors and Security Officers/Officer IIs in their duties and act in their positions when needed.
- Build, instill, and maintain a fair and equitable work environment.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of emergency plans and protocols.
- Provide testimony in court when required.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Meets the minimum qualifications/requirements of the primary position (Officer or Officer II).
- Preference for candidates with leadership experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Hospitality.
- Must be able to use approved software programs for Security duties, including report writing and Dispatch software, as well as Word and Excel.
- Must possess an understanding of legal ramifications and implications of employee and customer actions.
- Must have proven guest service experience.
- Must be able to work in an intense and fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of concentration.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Adequate manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
- Light lifting required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Must be able to effectively understand and communicate to candidates and employees.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
- Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment.
- Must be able to successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course.
- Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months from commencement of employment.
- Must adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Must meet attendance guidelines.
