About the Role

The Officer is responsible for properly executing security duties on an assigned shift, protecting the life and property of guests, team members, and Seneca Gaming Corporation property while maintaining guest service that meets expectations. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of guests and team members.
• Have a complete working knowledge of the Security Ambassador position and perform duties as assigned.
• Assist guests and team members and respond to critical situations.
• Observe and patrol all areas of Seneca Gaming Corporation properties.
• Complete all duties at assigned posts within guidelines.
• Successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course and any other required training.
• Report violations, acts, or situations detrimental to Seneca Gaming Corporation to the Security Supervisor.
• Ensure the integrity of all slot, sportsbook areas, and table games.
• Perform Class III related duties such as asset transfers, Table Fills, slot/jackpot escorts, and Card and Dice verification and destruction.
• Adhere to all compliance requirements from Seneca Gaming Corporation and regulatory agencies.
• Assist in internal or external investigations.
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality regarding departmental functions and confidential information.
• Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security.
• Provide exceptional guest service and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to policies.
• Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months of employment.
• Attend all necessary meetings.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to use approved software programs for Security duties, Word, and Excel.
• Must have good observation skills.
• Must have good writing and spelling skills.
• Must have proven customer service experience.
• Must be able to work in an intense and fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of concentration.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment.

• $17.50 starting rate
• Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
