About the Role
As an employee-owner at IEWC, you will be a valued team member contributing to something bigger and gaining skills for hypergrowth. As a Test Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring electrical assemblies meet customer specifications and quality standards by inspecting work, troubleshooting issues, generating labels, and compiling documentation. You will also assist in training and mentoring other Quality Control team members.
Responsibilities
- Inspect finished products to ensure they match customer requirements as defined by engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Identify and resolve defects or assembly errors using appropriate tools and methods.
- Interpret and understand various schematics and drawings related to electrical assemblies.
- Document and report nonconforming materials using established quality procedures.
- Communicate customer and regulatory requirements to Electrical Assembly employees in collaboration with Engineering.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant electrical standards such as NEMA, NEC, UL, and IEC.
- Generate and manage labeling for product identification and traceability.
- Compile job documentation before shipment.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods (minimum 8 hours) with scheduled breaks.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of experience in electrical assembly or a related electrical field.
- Proven experience with quality procedures, including ISO9001 standards.
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Understanding of safety and high voltage procedures.
