About the Role
LCRA is hiring a substation electrician to join our internal construction team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, rigging, crane operations, welding, and installing conduit and control cables. You will travel across Central Texas with provided accommodations, working with skilled professionals to build critical substation electrical and control infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Build electrical substations using construction skills and specialized tools.
- Read blueprints, consult manuals, parts lists and keep drawings and schematics up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist other teams as needed to complete project scopes.
- Be a part of a team that prioritizes safety and quality.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in maintenance and/or construction of electrical power, transmission, distribution, substation and control equipment, and/or other types of electrical equipment, including experience reading blueprints.
- Class A Texas commercial driver's license
