About the Role

This is a senior-level accounting position responsible for planning, developing, and executing accounting procedures. The role involves supervising staff within a functional unit and performing high-level accounting functions such as project accounting. Employees handle complex and responsible accounting tasks, reporting to a Controller or higher-level staff member with significant autonomy in judgment and problem-solving. General supervision of accounting and clerical staff may be exercised.

Requirements

This title is distinguished from Principal Accountant in that supervising more than one functional unit is not performed.
The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Controller or other higher level staff member.
Wide latitude allowed in the exercise of independent judgment regarding internal procedures, priorities and the resolution of accounting problems.
