About the Role
Personal Touch Food Service, Inc. is seeking Cafeteria Monitors to supervise and support students during meal periods at St. Amelia School. This role is vital in promoting a safe, respectful, and well-managed cafeteria environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students during meal periods to ensure safety and respectful behavior
- Monitor cafeteria lines, seating, and student movement
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized eating area
- Enforce cafeteria rules and help resolve minor student issues with patience and professionalism
- Provide assistance to food service staff as needed
- Communicate with school staff regarding any student concerns or incidents
- Model and promote respectful, positive behavior
- Work effectively in a noisy, high-traffic cafeteria environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to remain calm, attentive, and patient in a loud, active setting
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Must pass background checks in accordance with NYS and school district policies
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team
