About the Role

The Relationship Banker's primary focus is to establish and deepen client relationships by taking a holistic approach to assisting with their financial goals. This role actively participates in a dynamic team environment, contributing to the IMAGINE culture and working towards individual and team goals. The position performs all phases of customer service with an emphasis on delivering quality service and consultatively recommending bank products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Examine financial and personal information to understand customer needs and educate them on products and services.
  • Explain key product features and benefits to deliver appropriate solutions for customer spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs.
  • Collaborate with business partners in Wealth, Premier, Business Banking, and Insurance to assist customers with complex financial and business needs.
  • Prioritize exceptional client service with accuracy and operational excellence, including problem-solving and complaint resolution.
  • Support the branch by working to achieve individual and team goals through strong client relationships and team collaboration.
  • Respond to service requests and inquiries from customers in a timely manner, emphasizing accuracy and informative follow-up.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to compliance and operational standards, and assist with branch operational activities as directed.
  • Demonstrate vigilance in detecting and reporting fraudulent or irregular activities.
  • Perform teller duties when necessary.
  • Assist Client Service Associates with daily transaction proof and cash handling.
  • Use knowledge of Pioneer services to develop and/or refer potential customers to the appropriate business partner.
  • Travel throughout the branch network if deemed a floating position.
  • Perform other office duties as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1-year cash handling experience and customer service experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year customer service experience, recommending and referring products and services preferred.
  • Recommended to pass the NYS exam to become a Notary Public within 90 days of accepting position.
  • Must have a friendly, professional disposition and good communication skills.
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
  • Active and articulate promotion of Pioneer products and services.
  • Must be able to type accurately.
  • Must possess basic knowledge of the Bank's cash handling & security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in a team setting.
  • Ability to professionally represent Pioneer to outside business and/or customer contacts.
