About the Role
Allied Consultants, Inc is a proudly Austin based firm with over 34 years of experience delivering top-tier technical and business professionals within Texas State Agencies. We are currently seeking an experience Cisco Network Engineer to play a key role within a high-impact technical services team.
Responsibilities
- Support the agency's network operation, security, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with other agency departments and external organizations to provide a secure and effective network solution.
- Respond to remote site circuit outages, router/switch/firewall issues.
- Configure and monitor core to remote network equipment.
- Monitor circuits daily to check for anomalies that may cause outages.
- Provide network support for all programs used in all client environments.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience supporting large enterprise network operations.
- 8 years of experience implementing, upgrading, and maintaining products from the CISCO suite of tools.
- 8 years of experience in planning, designing, and implementing local and wide area networks.
- 8 years of experience in monitoring network infrastructure.
- Experience performing ongoing maintenance and problem resolution.
- Proficiency with SecureCRT, Cisco Command Line Interface, and OSI.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to take on projects and work independently meeting all deadlines.
