About the Role

Mackenzie Investments is seeking an Intern Analyst for its Resource team within the Investment Management - Resources department for the summer term of 2027. This full-time position offers valuable learning opportunities in the diversified resource sector, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Head of Team Resources. The role emphasizes innovation, intellectual rigor, and a passion for economics, environment, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

Establish measurement standards (quantitative and qualitative) of sustainable development for our natural resources’ investment universe.
Research and document investment thematic projects.
Review business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, including leveraging AI.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a master’s degree in science, Business, Economics or Renewable Energy studies.
Completed a bachelor’s degree in science (Health Sciences, Math and Statistics, Earth & Science, Geology, Psychology, Agriculture Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Economics, or Energy studies).
Basic understanding of financial markets would be an asset.
Passion for the energy transition.
Functional knowledge of MS Office.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Must be eligible to work full-time for the entire duration of the program.
