About the Role
The Sales Director is a strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth, overseeing sales operations, and aligning the sales organization with broader business objectives. This role serves as a critical bridge between executive leadership and the sales team, translating corporate strategy into actionable plans that deliver measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned to company objectives and market opportunities
- Set sales targets and quotas, and deliver accurate annual and quarterly revenue forecasts
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including pipeline health, conversion rates, deal size, and sales cycle
- Leverage pipeline insights to ensure predictable revenue and proactively identify risks and growth opportunities
- Drive execution of sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets and expand market share
- Align sales motions with evolving market dynamics, partner ecosystems, and company priorities
- Establish and manage performance metrics, budgets, and operating rhythms to ensure consistent execution
- Lead, coach, and develop frontline sales managers and teams to achieve performance objectives
- Recruit and retain top talent, while building a high-performance, accountable sales culture
- Provide ongoing enablement, training, and career development to strengthen organizational capability
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers and strategic partners
- Partner with customers to understand business objectives and deliver value-driven solutions
- Lead negotiations and close high-value, strategic deals
- Maintain deep understanding of company solutions, market trends, and competitive positioning
- Equip teams to effectively articulate value propositions and differentiate in the market
- Partner closely with marketing, product, and executive leadership to align go-to-market strategies
- Support product launches, campaigns, and strategic initiatives to drive pipeline and revenue growth
- Provide regular, data-driven insights on sales performance, market trends, and business outlook to executive leadership
- Identify opportunities for growth and recommend strategic adjustments to improve outcomes
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading high-performing sales organizations and delivering revenue growth
- Strong forecasting, analytical, and operational management capabilities
- Executive-level communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to influence across all levels of the organization and drive alignment
- Experience in B2B enterprise sales, with preference for Citrix or adjacent technologies
