About the Role
This role is for a Technical Business/Data Analyst to support new projects and ongoing business processes within a data warehouse and data lake application used for financial reporting. The role requires hands-on Oracle and Databricks query skills for deep data analysis and documentation, focusing on the securities lending business domain.
Responsibilities
- Researching and gathering business/system requirements through the facilitation of end user meetings and user interviews
- Analyzing current processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities and providing business solutions
- Decomposing abstract and complex details/concepts into business and functional requirements
- Developing conceptual modeling and process workflows
- Developing detailed business and functional requirement documents
- Communicating project details and concepts to various audiences
- Preparing end user documentation and facilitating end user training
- Defining the business deployment strategy and facilitating the business deployments
- Leading the end-to-end Agile SDLC, including participation in technical design and architecture reviews and test case reviews
- Developing UI design requirements
- Facilitating user meetings and interviewing users
- Developing use cases
- Working with SQL queries
- Researching and resolving issues
- Documenting very low-level specifications
- Preparing project documentation
- Analyzing current processes and recommending solutions for improving/adding processes
- Providing technical and business knowledge to various stakeholders
- Working with multiple teams to get required functionality done
- Working with Development and Internal support teams on ongoing Business and Technical issues
- Working in an Agile environment as an Agile PO
- Performing Business and data analysis in coordination with the team and Business users
Requirements
- 10 to 12 years of experience in the investment/securities industry
- Previous experience working in an Agile team as an Agile PO
- In-depth working knowledge on Datawarehouse and data lake for various Investment banking use cases
- Hands-on application development experience in terms of data and various business use cases within securities lending domain
- Experience working in data migration efforts
- Experience working as a business analyst on financial service applications that deal with OLAP and OLTP systems and reporting associated with front-end trading and back end batch processes
- Experience in agile teams is a must
- Should be very good in Oracle SQL queries and using SQL tools, exposure to various data analytical functions
- Knowledge of depositories, custodians, counterparties, Market reference data sets is a must
- Working experience of Data warehouse and data lake platforms is a must
- 8+ years of Investment Banking industry experience with regulatory reporting frameworks like Liquidity, SFTR experience is a must

- $120,000 - $202,500 Annual
