About the Role

Assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs by explaining services, setting up new accounts, responding to problems, and directing members to the appropriate people. Cross-sell products and services, perform loan originations and funding, and perform all teller functions while adhering to credit union policy, regulatory compliance, and the Bank Secrecy Act.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members and business account owners with opening and closing accounts following the Connect process.
  • On-board new members and answer questions about products and services.
  • Resolve member issues within authority and ensure needs are met promptly.
  • Actively sell and promote financial products and services to meet member needs and achieve goals.
  • Utilize CRM to track all sales activities.
  • Interview credit applicants and originate consumer loan products.
  • Identify and pursue loan cross-sale opportunities.
  • Adhere to loan follow-up standards and utilize tools to acquire loan leads.
  • Book approved loans and complete the funding process.
  • Assist members with transaction processing through remote channels as an MSR Teller.
  • Perform first-line maintenance of equipment (PT, ITM, ATM, TCD, TCR).
  • Reconcile and settle equipment and maintain the privacy of member account information.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all credit union products and services.
  • Serve as a Notary Public as needed.
  • Refer complex problems to the Lead MSR and/or Branch Manager with solution recommendations.
  • Maintain appropriate records and prepare required reports accurately and timely.
  • Comply with all credit union policies and procedures, including branch security and regulatory compliance guidelines.

Requirements

  • One to three years of similar or related experience.
  • Personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for conflict resolution, relationship building, and soliciting cooperation.

  • Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to spell accurately.
  • Understanding of computer basics.
