About the Role
Cerity Partners is seeking motivated individuals for a summer internship program in Wealth Management. This paid internship offers real-world experience in the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory firm, focusing on collaboration and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Shadow and participate in client presentations.
- Utilize CRM and financial planning software systems.
- Obtain e-Money Certification.
- Assist Financial Advisors with financial documents and performance reports.
- Research stocks, bonds, and other securities using software like Bloomberg, YCharts, HiddenLevers, and Riskalyze.
- Use back-end portfolio management software for account linkups and portfolio maintenance.
- Participate in and present at Investment Committee and portfolio subcommittee meetings.
- Learn about and participate in portfolio optimization, rebalancing, and backtesting.
- Conduct independent research and build spreadsheets for financial planning opportunities.
- Collaborate virtually with a team to create a financial planning project.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA.
- Majoring in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or a related business degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably in a leadership role.
- Previous professional work experience.
- Alignment with Cerity Partner’s mission and demonstrated core values.
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
