About the Role

Facilitate jobsite workforce administrative duties for management and utilization of Trade employees, under the direction of the Self-Perform Operations (SPO) Trades Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison with jobsite superintendents and SPO Operations Manager and SPO Trades Manager to coordinate work force needs for Trades employees.
  • Confirm open project Trades employees positions with SPO Trades Manager and local Human Resources (HR).
  • Participate in the Talent Acquisition process, including reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and assessing applicant qualifications.
  • Provide disposition updates to HR for applicant tracking and assist with extending conditional offers of employment.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire first-day activities and orientation with SPO Trades Manager and jobsite supervisors.
  • Set up time tracking systems for Trade employees and audit timecards.
  • Conduct job site visits to maintain connectivity with Trade employees and jobsite supervisors.
  • Maintain record keeping and compliance records for internal and external audit processes.
  • Follow up with jobsite supervisors for timely completion of annual performance reviews for Trades employees.
  • Participate in the implementation of hourly wage assessments, merit increases, and incentive programs.
  • Recommend training to enhance Trades employees’ career development.
  • Conduct follow-up on required learning, manage training rosters, and report on training activities for Trades employees.
  • Maintain updates to the Trades employee Location Log and review with jobsite supervisors for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with SPO Trades Manager and local HR regarding Trade employee discipline and termination processes, ensuring completion of required documentation.
  • Engage with local Union(s) regarding Trade recruitment activities and Trades employees’ discipline and termination processes.
  • Track and review extra work tickets with SPO Superintendents and jobsite supervisors and disperse workforce to complete tasks.
  • Oversee small SPO projects with limited workforce.
  • Facilitate Foreman trainings related to SPO procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Align expectations with Foreman and instill consistency of work within company guidelines related to Jurisdictions Having Authority (JHA), Pre-Task Plan (PTP), Hot Work, Equipment Inspections, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Ladders Last, and Daily Construction Reports (DCR).
  • Coordinate warehouse scheduling and logistics.
  • Manage warehouse team and staffing requirements.
  • Process invoices for payment related to equipment rentals, trade time billed at rates, and job pay applications to clients.
  • Coordinate Prefabrication (Prefab) activities including ordering materials, scheduling, procurement, shipping, and deliveries.
  • Manage Turner SPO Fleet, equipment management, DOT drivers and logs, and Drive Supervisors.
  • Facilitate Turner Tool Crib Management, Procurement, and tracking.
  • Perform other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
  • Good understanding of business and construction trade operations.
  • Knowledgeable of Human Resources functions and able to interpret company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidential information.
  • Approachable and able to interact with all employee levels, management, and stakeholders.
  • Active listening skills, proactive, responsive, and with strong follow-up practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and timely documentation.
  • Professional written and clear verbal communication skills.

  • Good judgment to identify and resolve problems, escalate issues, and request prioritization of responsibilities.
  • Work independently with oversight and direction, and collaboratively with others.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite of applications, spreadsheet software, and collaborative tools.
  • Limited travel required.
  • Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction personnel hoists, climb ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction.
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands, talk, and hear.
  • Ability to view a computer monitor and use a computer keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to be mobile and occasionally travel both short and long distances.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
