About the Role

The Senior Graphic Designer will be the hands-on design lead for Tilray Beverages' brand portfolio, translating brand strategy into impactful packaging, retail, campaign, and digital assets. This role involves end-to-end design execution, from concept to production files, in collaboration with brand managers, marketing teams, and external partners. We seek a designer with a strong vision and execution skills, capable of creating branded merchandise, refining packaging, and building scalable asset systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design primary and secondary packaging, and point-of-sale materials from concept through print-ready mechanicals.
  • Prepare and review dielines, color builds, and production files with print vendors, ensuring quality through press approvals.
  • Extend and steward brand identity systems across all touchpoints.
  • Partner with brand managers on new product launches and seasonal releases, contributing design thinking early in the process.
  • Develop integrated campaign assets for social, digital, e-commerce, out-of-home, and experiential activations.
  • Support the digital and social team with on-brand content, including motion and animated formats.
  • Art-direct photo and video shoots, including shot lists, on-set direction, and final image selection and retouching.
  • Build templated toolkits and guidelines for regional and customer marketing teams to localize work.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects against launch calendars, identifying risks and negotiating scope.
  • Brief, review, and provide direction to freelancers, agency partners, and junior designers.
  • Maintain organized working files and an asset library for seamless collaboration.
  • Route work through legal, regulatory, and label-compliance review, integrating requirements into designs from the outset.

Requirements

  • Six or more years of graphic design experience in-house or at an agency, with experience on consumer packaged goods brands.
  • A portfolio demonstrating conceptual range, typographic skill, and finished craft across packaging and campaign work.
  • Expert command of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of print production, including color separations, substrates, and pre-press requirements for packaging.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to present and defend creative rationale.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Familiarity with working with a team of fellow designers.
  • Experience in beer, beverage, spirits, or another regulated category, with familiarity around label and alcohol marketing requirements.
  • Experience building and documenting brand identity systems and asset toolkits for distributed teams.
  • Significant packaging experience and familiarity with dielines, folding structures, printing techniques, and merchandising requirements.
  • Experience with Esko for packaging renders.
  • Illustration or hand-lettering skills.
  • Additional skills in photography, videography, motion graphics, or web design are a plus.
