About the Role
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Planning Analyst. This role involves assisting with research duties and analyses to support various planning activities, including analyzing and developing planning practices, researching community engagement strategies, and managing planning/policy/research projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development of BCAARE's annual and/or four-year Local Services Plan (LSP) and recommend methods of monitoring and evaluation outcomes.
- Contribute to collaboration for behavioral health systems planning across BCAARE by participating in meetings, workshops, and projects.
- Coordinate Community Services Board (CSB) Subcommittee(s) led by BCAARE, including facilitating engagements and evaluations, and managing meetings and communications.
- Research and create research/policy briefs, memoranda, and reports for various audiences.
- Contribute to the development of research surveys, tracking mechanisms, procedures, and other tools for improving behavioral health.
- Attend community events, public forums, stakeholder meetings, and/or hold focus groups and/or develop surveys to obtain community input.
- Contribute to long term planning for all Offices in the Bureau informed by policy.
- Coordinate with Policy and Planning Analyst and Office of Strategy and Operations to inform long-term planning needs.
- Perform additional research-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health from an accredited college or university and 3 years experience with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health.
- Master's degree in Public Health from an accredited college or university and 2 years experience with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

- Background and demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health planning and/or health policy, policy analysis, program planning, health promotion, and New York's behavioral health landscape.
