About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect with expertise in AWS and cloud-native infrastructure, platforms, security and automation technologies. You will help design scalable, secure and resilient cloud solutions for our clients, enabling digital transformation through modern architecture, platform engineering and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Combine hands-on architecture with technical leadership, helping clients adopt, modernise and optimise cloud platforms while delivering secure, scalable and cost-effective solutions in public sector and regulated environments.
• Shape architecture, advise clients and lead small teams or workstreams, while remaining close to delivery.
• Design scalable, secure and resilient cloud solutions for clients.
• Enable digital transformation through modern architecture, platform engineering and DevOps practices.
• Support and mentor engineers and junior team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years) in cloud architecture, engineering and transformation delivery.
• AWS cloud architecture certification (Associate or Professional level).
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures, with experience designing secure, scalable and resilient solutions.
• Experience designing cloud architectures and supporting cloud migration or modernisation initiatives.
• Experience defining target architectures, platform capabilities and technical roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
• Strong understanding of platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience implementing cloud security, governance and resilience controls within enterprise environments.
• Experience leading small teams or workstreams, delivering solutions to time, cost and quality expectations.
• Ability to build strong relationships with client stakeholders and provide architectural guidance to delivery teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks and identify pragmatic solutions.
• Good understanding of cloud financial management principles and the drivers of cost-effective cloud delivery.
• Experience working within client-facing consulting environments and delivering business value through technology.
• Must hold active SC clearance for this role.
• Must have been resident in the UK for the last five years and must not have spent more than six consecutive months outside the UK during that period.
