About the Role
Home Health services needed for an elderly male in Greenport, Long Island.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
- Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Observe and report changes in clients' condition to supervisory staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team.
Requirements
- Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) Certificate.
- Must have been employed or registered with a licensed home care agency within the past two (2) years, or otherwise meet New York State eligibility requirements.
- Ability to work independently and follow a plan of care.
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Must successfully complete the agency's hiring process, including background screening, health requirements, and verification of credentials.
