About the Role
As Practice Manager, you'll take full ownership of the non-clinical side of the Chelsea clinic, including operations, finances, and team management. You will foster local relationships and ensure seamless clinic operations while veterinary staff focus on patient care. This hands-on, commercially minded role requires problem-solving, relationship building, and creating a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team, including managing, motivating, and developing Practice Hosts.
- Create a valued and supported team culture.
- Manage daily clinic operations, including rotas and workflows.
- Maintain high standards across all practice areas.
- Manage clinic finances, including P&L and KPIs.
- Identify and act on financial trends.
- Nurture relationships with local pet owners and businesses.
- Drive membership uptake and maintain the clinic's profile.
- Implement local marketing initiatives.
- Champion client experience and act on feedback.
- Ensure Health & Safety, RCVS standards, and GDPR compliance.
Requirements
- Operationally strong, commercially minded leader.
- Proven track record of managing people and budgets.
- Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or a service-led business is ideal.
- Financial literacy, including P&L and budgeting.
- Solid HR fundamentals, including performance management and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of Chelsea or a strong desire to understand the local community.
- Ability to build and leverage a local network.
